I have encountered a very low-tech problem. I have temporarily misplaced my copy of Widerstand und Ergebung. The good news is last week I placed my first international order from Amazon.de–for the revised and expanded edition. It should be arriving in a week or so.
Meanwhile, I had been planning to take a break and introduce an interview with Jürgen Moltmann. Last year was the 100th anniversary of Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s birth and Moltmann’s 80th birthday. Both were affected by the war. Moltmann was drafted at the age of 17 during the last year of the war and was captured in Belgium.
Aldo Parmegianni of Radio Vatikan interviewed Moltmann on the occasion of his 80th birthday. (I have already posted a link to the radio interview on the “Reviews and Recommendations” page.) I will post the text of the interview with vocabulary in a few installments. For beginners, my advice would be to work through each installment and practice reading it aloud, and then at the end, listen to the audio interview and follow along. Another good plan would be to listen to the interview after reading each selection.
Tomorrow I will post the introduction to the Interview.
